Thomas Rotherham College is the largest sixth form college provider in Rotherham, South Yorkshire. We have a tradition of achievement and aim to provide a future of opportunity to all our students.
With a growth in student recruitment, an opportunity has arisen to recruit an enthusiastic and high-quality teacher, capable of teaching L3 BTEC Sport and *able to offer another subject from the many that college deliver (see TRC website for details). While it is not possible to determine the demands of the timetable exactly, it is envisaged that the majority of the successful applicant’s time will be in Sport. Applicants should state clearly the other subjects they are able to deliver in their personal statement, submitted as part of the application process.
Based at our Thomas Rotherham College site, the successful candidate will be student focused and will contribute to the continuing development of high-quality provision by tailoring their delivery to each student’s individual needs.
Candidates must be educated to degree level and hold a PGCE/PGCE Post 16 with QTS or another appropriate and equivalent teaching qualification. Candidates must also be able to evidence successful teaching experience with 16-18 learners, including the delivery of the appropriate range of Level 3 courses.
All staff are required to work in a way that encourages a positive work environment that is solution focused and proactive for all. We offer a positive working environment, we care about our students and we care about our staff, all of whom know and appreciate that. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to be part of this, contribute to this culture and develop it further.
