We are looking for a well qualified and experienced candidate who will join an enthusiastic, supportive and successful school as a Teacher of Science within our INVESTIGATE Learning Zone (Mathematics and Science). The successful candidate will have additional responsibility as a Leader of Learning to deliver a School Priority to achieve our move to ‘Outstanding Learning and Teaching’. The successful candidate will work collaboratively within the School and in the wider MAT and Learning Community driving and embedding change to ensure the best possible outcomes for all pupils.
In addition to the assigned School Priority, which will be reviewed annually and adjusted in line with the needs of pupils; Leaders of Learning will have an appropriate teaching timetable and learning zone responsibilities which will include, inter alia; Pupil Progress Reviews, Coaching, Appraisal and Monitoring Reviewing and Evaluating.
Candidates will be truly committed to supporting pupils to progress and achieve, have high aspirations for the pupils’ success and will contribute to ongoing planning with imaginative and dynamic ideas. To support learning, all pupils and staff are issued with an electronic device.
Our school has a focus on delivering a core curriculum as a priority to support all learning; all teachers are required to deliver and support both literacy and numeracy strategies alongside their specialism/s.
Oakwood High School is a Leadership School for ITT Provision and recognised by Sheffield Hallam University as “a school of excellent practice” for ECT’s. In addition, the school offers CPD routes through leadership programme with the Learners First Schools Partnership and the suite of NPQ’s through the Education Development Trust.
