Inspire Trust is a Multi Academy Trust based in Rotherham which includes Oakwood High School, Sitwell Junior School and Thomas Rotherham College.
Thomas Rotherham College is the largest sixth form college provider in Rotherham, South Yorkshire. We have a tradition of achievement and aim to provide a future of opportunity to all our students. An opportunity has arisen to recruit an enthusiastic and high-quality leader to the post of Assistant Head of Faculty. The successful candidate will support the Head of Faculty across the range of their duties, with a particular focus on teaching and learning.
The Science faculty deliver separate A levels in Physics, Chemistry and Biology, BTEC Science, CTEC Environmental Science and CTEC Medical Science (all L3), and L2 GCSE Combined Science. The successful candidate should be qualified and willing to teach across this suite of subjects. Student numbers are high, and lessons delivered in a suite of specialist labs, supported by a dedicated team of technicians.
Candidates must be educated to degree level and hold a PGCE/PGCE Post 16 with QTS or another appropriate and equivalent teaching qualification. Candidates must also be able to evidence successful teaching experience with 16-18 learners and/or the ability to teach L3 BTEC eSports.
