With a strong emphasis on respect for all, we forge effective and supportive relationships with both pupils and adults in our learning community and beyond. Together we maximise every opportunity to achieve success for all, inspiring pupils to achieve excellent academic progress. We are a Good school with ‘Outstanding Leadership and Management’ at all levels.
While the pupils at Oakwood High School had an overwhelmingly positive experience of blended learning, the impact of being away from their learning environments has been greater for some pupils than others.
As an Academic Mentor you will play a key role in the country’s recovery from Covid-19, as part of the government-backed National Tutoring Programme. We’re looking for passionate, driven and caring people to support those whose education has been most affected by the disruption caused by the pandemic. As an Academic Mentor you will be employed on a fixed term contract until July 2022 to deliver a tailored programme of support predominantly in, either English or Maths.
