Helping our key workers

The technology staff at Oakwood High School have been hard at work making specialised visors for medical staff at Rotherham General Hospital. Using their technical know-how and the specialist equipment at the school, the Create team have spent days making much needed equipment for doctors and nurses fighting the coronavirus. Hayley Biggin said “We have the equipment and the expertise. We bought in some specialist materials and the team have pulled together to get this important work done. We just wanted to do our bit to help out our community”.
The school has also donated 200 goggles to the hospital and has provided 30 goggles and some protective aprons to our friends at Newman Special School.
